This project involves the recovery and completion of a mixed-use development at 165–181 Kensington High Street, London, which had previously stalled and been left in an incomplete state following the removal of the main contractor from site.
Our work began with a focused feasibility phase, concluding with a RIBA Stage 1 report. This was followed by an intensive period of site inspections, design reviews, and coordination meetings to assess inherited information and redefine the brief. The priority was to make the building safe, watertight, and compliant with all relevant statutory requirements. The RIBA Stage 2 report established the conceptual approach for completing the scheme.
Subsequently, we delivered RIBA Stage 3 design together with a comprehensive Design & Build tender package, including fit-out and interior design. RIBA Stage 4 information was prepared to support enabling works undertaken by the demolition contractor, while remaining client-side for the main construction contract, ensuring design continuity and quality control through to delivery.
