CONTEXT
The project involved an incomplete and stalled mixed-use development on Kensington High Street. Before design could progress, the team needed to understand the condition of the work, review the available information and establish a realistic new brief.
ARCHITECTURAL RESPONSE
The work began with feasibility, site inspections, design review and re-briefing. Immediate priorities included understanding how the building could be made safe, watertight and compliant while a coherent design route was rebuilt. The project then progressed through concept and coordinated design, including fit-out and interior requirements, followed by enabling works and client-side input during the main-contract stage. This sequence makes the project relevant not because it presents a single design gesture, but because it shows architecture being used to recover clarity and continuity in a complex live situation.
