CONTEXT
The project involved an incomplete and stalled mixed-use development on Kensington High Street. Before design could progress, the team needed to understand the condition of the work, review the available information and establish a realistic new brief.
ARCHITECTURAL RESPONSE
Feasibility work, site inspections and design reviews established the condition of the incomplete development and informed a new brief. The completion concept addressed how the building could be made safe, watertight and compliant. PSA led preparation of materials for Section 73 application and fit-out tender package, and developed the interior design. The scope also included technical design for demolition and enabling works. During the main contract, PSA remained client-side, reviewing the contractor’s fit-out information against the project requirements.
