CONTEXT
Ilona Rose House is a 13-storey central London development, including four levels below ground, within the dense and characterful context of Soho. Its programme combines offices, retail and restaurants with specialist media-production uses.
ARCHITECTURAL RESPONSE
The building accommodates Warner Bros. European post-production facilities and a 60-seat sound-editing theatre alongside more conventional commercial uses. Approximately 1,300 sqm of planted terraces contribute external amenity and a greener upper-level environment. The project demonstrates the coordination demands of a large mixed-use building in which structure, envelope, specialist technical spaces, workplace needs and public-facing uses must operate as one development. This case is presented as evidence of complex technical and professional experience gained within MATT Architecture, not as a claim of sole concept authorship.
